Step 6. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to release the lid lock wire from the retainers. Remove the screws holding the door lock to the top panel using a Philips screwdriver.

Step 7. Take the lid lock off the control panel and discard it. Remove your new washing machine lid lock from its packaging.

Step 8. Mount the new lid lock on the top panel and secure it by applying the Philips screws. Secure the wire in the retainers and pass the connector through the opening on the top panel.

Step 9. Lower the top panel onto the cabinet and apply the bolts at the back to secure it.

Step 10. Plug the wire harness of the new lid lock into the control board and secure the wire in the retainer.

Step 11. Put the rear access cover back on and apply the screws using your nut-driver. Reconnect the two inlet hoses to the ports at the back of your machine.

Step 12. Plug your washing machine into its electrical outlet and turn the water valve back on. To make sure everything works properly, try running a wash cycle.
