Back-Flow Into Washing Machine [How To Fix]

Are you experiencing water back-flow into washing machine? If so, you’ve come to the right place. This quick guide shows you how to fix this problem…

Back-Flow Into Washing Machine — Solution

If water is backing up into your washing machine, it indicates that there is a clog. Pull your washing machine’s drain hose out of the standpipe and inspect it for any debris that may be clogging it.

If you notice any debris, use something like a screwdriver to clean it out. Disconnect the drain hose from the back of your washing machine and take it to a tap.

Try running some water through the drain hose to see if it’s blocked. If the hose is blocked, you’ll need to unclog it. Once you’ve cleaned the drain hose connect it back to your washing machine and insert the other end into the standpipe.

Try running a cycle to make sure everything is working properly. If water still backs up, it could be a sign of a more serious issue. We recommend calling a plumber to take a look at your plumbing system.
