Bosch Washing Machine Display Not Working — Solved

If your Bosch washing machine display isn’t working, here are the issues to look for…

1. Power Supply Isn’t On

If your Bosch washing machine display isn’t working, the first thing you should check is the power supply. If the power outlet is turned on but the machine isn’t working, disconnect the power cord and try plugging another appliance.

If the second appliance doesn’t work, it indicates that something is wrong with the power outlet. You’ll need to call an electrician to take a look at the issue.

2. Improperly Plugged Wires

Take the following steps to ensure that the wires are properly connected to your washing machine’s control board…

Step 1. Make sure your washing machine’s power cord is disconnected from the electrical outlet before starting this repair.

Step 2. Using a Torx screwdriver, loosen the screws at the back of the machine securing the top panel. Pull the panel backwards about an inch or so, then lift it off the machine.

Step 3. Slide the detergent drawer out then press the tab to release it from the housing completely.

Step 4. Use your Torx screwdriver to loosen the screws holding the control panel to the cabinet. Pry the panel off the cabinet.

Step 5. Ensure that each electrical connector is properly connected to the control board. Snap the panel back onto the front of the machine, then apply the screws to secure it.

Step 6. Slide the soap tray back into the housing. Put the top panel on the machine, then apply the screws at the back using a screwdriver.

Step 7. Plug your washing machine back into the electrical outlet, then try turning your machine on to see if the problem has been fixed.

3. Control Board Failure

To replace a failed control board in your Bosch washing machine, here are the steps you’ll need to take…

Step 1. Disconnect your washing machine from the power outlet in order to prevent electrocution.

Step 2. With a Torx screwdriver, take out the screws at the back of the machine securing the top panel.

Step 3. Slide the top panel backwards a few inches and lift it off the machine. Pull the detergent tray out of the dispenser, then press the tab to release it from the housing.

Step 4. With your Torx screwdriver, remove the bolts securing the control panel to the front of the cabinet.

Step 5. Pry the control panel off the cabinet using a flat-blade screwdriver. Take note of the positioning of the electrical connectors attached to the control board, then disconnect each one.

Step 6. Use your screwdriver to loosen the screws holding the control board to the panel. Pry the board off the control panel, then discard it.

Step 7. Prepare your new washing machine control board for installation by removing it from its packaging.

Step 8. Mount the new board on the control panel and apply the screws to secure it. Plug each wire harness into its appropriate terminal on the control board.

Step 9. Snap the control panel onto the front of the machine, then use your Torx screwdriver to apply the screws.

Step 10. Slide the soap tray into the detergent dispenser. Place the top panel on the cabinet, the apply the screws using your Torx screwdriver.

Step 11. Plug your machine’s power cord back into the electrical outlet, then try turning the washer on to see if the issue has been fixed.
