Is your Bosch washing machine leaking from the water inlet valve? If so, you’ll need to replace it. Here’s how to do this…
Step 1. Ensure that your washing machine is unplugged from the power outlet and the water supply is turned off before starting this repair.
Step 2. Use your pliers to unscrew the two water supply hoses from the ports at the back of the machine (some water will spill out, so we recommend keeping a rag nearby).
Step 3. Using a Torx screwdriver, take out the bolts holding the top panel to the cabinet. Pull the panel backwards about an inch or so, then lift it off the machine.
Step 4. Use a pair of pliers to release the clamps on the tubes attached to the inlet valve, then slide them out of place. Pull each tube off the inlet valve.

Step 3. Pry the cap off the drain pump, then disconnect the wire harness attached to it. Release the spring clamp on the pump assembly, then slide it out of place. Pull the hose off the pump (some water may spill out, so keep a rag nearby).
Step 4. Use your screwdriver to take out the screws holding the drain pump to the cabinet. Pull the drain pump out of the cabinet, then discard it.

Step 3. Take the drive belt off the drive pulley and motor pulley. Disconnect the wire harness attached to the motor assembly.
Step 4. Use a socket wrench to take out the bolts securing the drive motor to the bottom of the tub. Carefully lift the motor out of the cabinet, then set it aside.
Step 5. Unscrew the two water supply hoses from the ports at the back of the machine (use a pair of pliers if needed).
Step 6. Loosen the screws holding the top panel to the cabinet. Pull the panel backwards, then lift it off the machine.
Step 7. Slide the soap tray out of the housing and press the tab to release it from the housing.

Step 12. Using either a pair of needle-nosed pliers or a flat-blade screwdriver, pry the retaining wire off the door gasket (take care not to puncture the gasket.).
Step 13. Peel the door gasket off the cabinet. Use your Torx screwdriver to take out the screws at the top and bottom of the front panel. Carefully lift the entire panel off the cabinet, then set it aside.
Step 14. Use a 13mm socket wrench to loosen the bolts holding the counter-weights to the top and front of the tub. Pull each weight of the tub.
Step 15. Unplug the electrical connectors attached to the heating element at the bottom of the tub (take note of where each connector goes).
Step 16. Use a 10mm socket wrench to take out the bolt holding the heating element. Slide the heater out of the housing, then set it aside.
Step 17. Spread a rag on the floor underneath the tub. Use your screwdriver to loosen the screw-clamp holding the sump hose to the port at the tub. Pull the hose off.
Step 18. Use a 13mm socket wrench to take out the upper mounting bolts holding the two shock absorbers to the tub. Pull each shock out of its mount.
Step 19. Lift the two suspension springs holding the tub and unhook them from the cabinet. Carefully lower the tub assembly and guide it out of the cabinet.
Step 20. Turn the tub assembly upwards. Using a Torx screwdriver, loosen all the screws holding the two halves of the tub together. Lift the front half of the outer tub off the assembly, then set it aside.
Step 21. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the tub seal out of the groove in the lower half of the outer tub.
Step 22. Discard the old tub seal and take the new one out of its packaging. Push the new tub seal into the groove in the tub.
Step 23. Lower the front half of the outer tub onto the tub assembly, then use your Torx screwdriver to apply the bolts.
Step 24. Carefully guide the tub assembly back into the machine. Hook the two suspension springs onto the cabinet.
Step 25. Push the two shock absorbers into the mounts at the bottom of the tub, then apply the upper mounting bolts using your 13mm socket wrench.
Step 26. Slide the heating element into the housing at the bottom of the tub, then apply the bolt using your 10mm socket wrench.
Step 27. Plug each electrical connector into the appropriate terminal on the heating element.
Step 28. Mount the motor assembly at the bottom of the tub, the apply the bolts to secure it. Plug the wire connector into the motor.
Step 29. Loop the drive belt around the motor pulley and drive pulley. Put the rear access panel onto the cabinet, then apply the screws using your Torx screwdriver.
Step 30. Reattach the sump hose to the port at the bottom of the tub, then tighten the screw-clamp to secure it.
Step 31. Mount the two counter-weights onto the tub assembly and apply the bolts using your socket wrench.
Step 32. Lift the front panel and snap it back onto the cabinet. Apply the bolts at the top and bottom of the panel using your Torx screwdriver.
Step 33. Connect the detergent dispenser hose to the port at the top of the tub, then secure it with the clamp.
Step 34. Snap the lower front access panel back onto the machine. Plug each electrical connector into its appropriate terminal on the control panel.
Step 35. Snap the control panel onto the cabinet, then use your Torx screwdriver to apply the nuts. Slide the soap tray into the detergent dispenser.
Step 36. Open your washer’s door. Push the door lock back into place and secure it by applying the screws with your Torx screwdriver.
Step 37. Fit the door boot seal back around the panel. Fit the retaining wire around the door gasket using a flat-blade screwdriver.
Step 38. Place the top panel onto the machine, then apply the screws at the back with your Torx screwdriver.
Step 39. Plug your washing machine back into the electrical outlet, then turn the water faucet back on. Ensure that the problem has been fixed by running a wash cycle.

Step 23. Turn the tub assembly over. Lift the inner tub out of the rear half of the outer tub, then set it aside.
Step 24. Use a flat-blade screwdriver or a chisel to pry the bearing seal out of the housing. Discard the old bearing seal, then take the new one out of its packaging.
Step 25. Push the new bearing firmly into the seat (use a mallet if needed). lower the inner tub into the outer tub.
Step 26. Turn the entire tub assembly over, then set it on the supports. Put the drive pulley back onto the shaft, then apply the bolts using your socket wrench.
Step 27. Turn the tub over again. Put the upper half of the outer tub onto the assembly and use your Torx screwdriver to apply all the screws.
Step 28. Carefully guide the entire tub into the cabinet. Lift the two suspension springs, then hook them onto the cabinet.
Step 29. Push the shock absorbers into the mounts, then apply the upper bolts using a 13mm socket wrench.
Step 30. Mount the drive motor at the bottom of the tub and secure it with the bolts. Plug the electrical connector back into the drive motor.
Step 31. Loop the drive belt back around the drive pulley and motor pulley. Slide the heating element into the housing, then apply the 10mm bolt to secure it.
Step 32. Plug each electrical connector into its appropriate terminal on the heating element. Snap the air pressure tube back into the retainer.
Step 33. Reconnect the sump hose to the port at the bottom of the tub. Secure the sump hose using the screw-clamp.
Step 34. Mount the two counter-weights onto the tub, then apply the bolts with your socket wrench.
Step 35. Push the detergent dispenser back in place and connect the dispenser hose to the port at the top of the tub. Secure the hose by sliding the spring clamp into place.
Step 36. Lift the front panel and snap it onto the machine. Using your Torx screwdriver, apply the bolts at the top and bottom.
Step 37. Reconnect each wire harness to its appropriate terminal on the control panel. Snap the panel onto the front of the machine, then use your screwdriver to apply the screws.
Step 38. Slide the soap tray back into the dispenser. Put the top panel on the cabinet and apply the screws at the back using your Torx screwdriver.
Step 39. Open your machine’s door and push the door lock back into place. Apply the screws with your screwdriver.
Step 40. Carefully fit the door gasket around the door opening. Secure the door gasket using the retaining wire.
