Frigidaire Washing Machine Pump Clogged — How To Fix
Here’s what you’ll need to do to clean a clogged drain pump in your Frigidaire washing machine…
Step 1. Turn off your washing machine’s power supply in order to prevent electrocution.
Step 2. Place a towel on the floor in front of your washing machine. Open the lower front access panel. Pull the emergency drain hose out and place a container under it.
Step 3. Pull the cap off the hose and drain out any water stuck in your washing machine. Once all the water has drained out, put the hose’s cap back on.
Step 4. Turn the knob beside the drain hose and pull it out (this is the drain pump filter). Take the filter to a sink and clean out any dirt and debris that may have accumulated in it.
Step 5. Insert a screwdriver into the drain pump opening and clean out any debris that may still be in it. Put the drain pump filer back into place. Snap the access panel back on and plug the power cord into the outlet.
Note: Please keep in mind that this procedure is only applicable to front loader washing machines.

How To Change Drain Pump In Frigidaire Laundry Center Washing Machine
Do the following to replace the drain pump assembly in your Frigidaire laundry center washing machine…
Step 1. Make sure to shut off your washing machine’s water supply valve and unplug the power cord from the outlet before starting this repair in order to prevent water leakage and electrocution.
Step 2. Pull your washing machine forwards to give you more working space. Use your screwdriver to detach the venting from the back of your washing machine.
Step 3. Unscrew the COLD and HOT water supply lines from the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (we recommend keeping a rag nearby in case water spills out of the hoses).
Step 4. Pull the drain hose out of the home drain. Put some tape over your washing machine’s lid to secure it.
Step 5. Get another person to help you tilt your washing machine backwards and lay it on the floor. Use a pair of pliers to press the retaining clamp on the hose connected to the drain pump and slide the clamp out of place.
Step 6. Disconnect the hose from the drain pump (make sure to keep a rag nearby to clean up any water leakage). Use your screwdriver to take out the mounting screws holding the drain pump assembly to the base of your washing machine.
Step 7. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached top the drain pump assembly and set the pump aside.
Step 8. Take your new washing machine drain pump out of its packaging. Transfer the seal on the old pump to the new one. Install the new pump in your washing machine and apply the mounting screws to secure it.
Step 9. Connect each electrical connector to its appropriate terminal on the new drain pump assembly. Connect the drain hose the new pump and secure it by sliding the retaining clamp into place.
Step 10. Lift your washing machine upright and peel the tape off the lid. Connect the two water supply hoses back to the ports on your washing machine (tighten them properly to prevent water leakage).
Step 11. Insert the drain hose back into the home drain and attach the venting back to the machine. Plug your washer’s power cord into the outlet and turn the water supply valve back on. Make sure everything is working properly by running a wash cycle.

How To Change Drain Pump In Frigidaire Front Loader Washing Machine
Here are the steps you’ll need to take to replace the drain pump in your Frigidaire front loader washing machine…
Step 1. Make sure to unplug your washing machine’s power cord from the power supply before starting this repair in order to prevent electrical damage.
Step 2. Using a Philips screwdriver remove all the screws at the back of your washing machine holding the top panel. Slid the top panel backwards and lift off your washing machine.
Step 3. Pull the detergent drawer out and press the tab inside to take it out of the washing machine. Use your Philips screwdriver to take out the screws beside the detergent drawer housing and the screw on each top corner of the control panel.
Step 4. Pry the control panel off your washing machine and lay it on too of the cabinet. Open the door of your washing machine.
Step 5. Using a pair of needle-nosed pliers or a flat-blade screwdriver, pull off the retaining band around the door boot seal. Close your washer’s door.
Step 6. Carefully tilt your washing machine backwards and place a support underneath the front. Use your Philips screwdriver to take out the four screws at the bottom of the front panel.
Step 7. Tilt your washing machine backwards once more and pull the support out. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the four screws at the top of the main front panel.
Step 8. Carefully lift the front panel off your washing machine and rest it on the side of the cabinet (the electrical connectors will still be attached to the panel).
Step 9. Place a rag on the floor of the cabinet near the drain pump to catch any water leakage. Use a pair of pliers to press the clamps on the two hoses attached to the drain pump and slid them out of place.
Step 10. Disconnect each hose from the drain pump assembly. Take out the two mounting bolts holding the drain pump assembly to the washing machine using a 5/16 inch nut driver.
Step 11. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to the drain pump and set the pump aside.
Step 12. Take your new washing machine drain pump out of its packaging. Connect the electrical connector to the new drain pump.
Step 13. Install the new pump assembly in your washing machine and apply the mounting bolts to secure it. Connect the two hoses to their appropriate ports on the new drain pump. Secure the hoses by sliding the retaining clamps into place.
Step 14. Snap the front panel back onto your washing machine and apply the four screws at the top and bottom.
Step 15. Open your washing machine’s door and fit the door boot seal back around the door opening. Use your needle-nosed pliers to fit the door retaining band back around the door opening.
Step 16. Snap the control panel back onto your washing machine and use your Philips screwdriver to apply all the screws. Slide the top panel back on and secure it by applying the screws at the back. Plug your machine back into its power supply and try running a wash cycle to see if the issue has been fixed.

Step 1. In order to prevent any chances of electrocution, please ensure that you unplug your washing machine’s power cord from the outlet before starting this repair.
Step 2. Put some tape over the lid of your washing machine to secure it. Insert a tool such as a putty knife underneath your washing machine’s main top panel. Lift the panel up and support it.
Step 3. Use a Philips screwdriver to take out the two screws at the bottom of the front panel. Push the panel downwards and lift it off your washing machine.
Step 4. Disconnect the electrical connector connected to the drain pump assembly and release the wire from the retainer. Using a pair of pliers, press the clamps on the hoses connected to the pump assembly and slide them out of place.
Step 5. Pull each hose off the drain pump (make sure to keep a rag nearby to clean up any water leakage). Use your Philips screwdriver to remove the screws holding the pump assembly to the cabinet.
Step 6. Pull the pump assembly out of your washing machine and take the new drain pump out of its packaging. Install the new drain pump in your washer and apply the mounting screws with your Philips screwdriver.
Step 7. Connect the electrical connector to the terminal on the new pump. Connect the two drain hoses to their corresponding ports on the new pump assembly. Slide the retaining clamps into place.
Step 8. Snap the front panel back onto your washing machine and apply the screws at the bottom to secure it. Lower the front panel and snap it into place. Peel the tape off the lid of your washing machine.
Step 9. Plug your washing machine’s power cord back into the power outlet and turn the water supply on. Make sure everything is working as it should by running a wash cycle.
