How To Replace Water Inlet Valve In Frigidaire Laundry Center Washer

Do the following to replace the water inlet valve in your Frigidaire laundry center washing machine…

Step 1. Unplug your washing machine from its power supply and turn the water valve off before attempting any repairs in order to avoid electrical damage or water leaks.

Step 2. Disconnect the water inlet hoses from the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (ensure that you keep a rag nearby in case water spills out of the hoses). Use a Philips screwdriver to take out the screw holding the water inlet valve to the back panel of your machine.

Step 3. Detach the water inlet valve from the rear panel by pushing it in. Go to the front of your washing machine. Insert a putty knife under the main top panel of your washer to release the retaining clips. Lift the panel up and disconnect the electrical connector of the lid lock.

Step 4. Remove the main top panel and set it aside. Reach inside the washer cabinet and pull the water inlet valve out. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to the valve assembly.

Step 7. Reach inside the cabinet and insert the new valve assembly through the slot at the back panel. Reconnect the lid switch electrical connector to the main top and snap the main top panel back in place.

Step 8. Apply the screw at the back of your washing machine to secure the new valve assembly. Connect the water inlet hoses to the new water inlet valve (ensure that the connections are secure in order to prevent water leakage).

Step 9. Turn your washing machine’s water supply back on and plug it back to the power source. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.

Replace the water inlet valve in your front loader Frigidaire washing machine by doing the following…

Step 1. Always make sure to unplug your washing machine from its power source and turn off the water supply before starting any repairs in order to prevent any chances of electrocution or water leakage.

Step 2. Unscrew the HOT and COLD water supply hoses from the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (you may need to keep a rag nearby in case of water leaks).

Step 6. Pull the valve assembly off the dispenser and set it aside. Take your new water valve assembly out of its packaging. Install the new valve assembly in your washing machine and connect the ports to the dispenser. Apply the screws to secure the valve to the dispenser.

Step 7. Put the vent tube back in place and lock it by rotating it. Snap the inlet valve and vent tube retainer back on. Connect each electrical connector to its appropriate terminal on the new water inlet valve.

Step 8. Put your washing machine’s top panel back on and apply the screws with a Philips screwdriver to secure it. Attach the water inlet hoses to the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (make sure to secure the connections properly in order to avoid water leaks).

Step 9. Plug your washing machine back to its power outlet and turn on the water supply. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.
