How To Replace Water Inlet Valve In Frigidaire Laundry Center Washer
Do the following to replace the water inlet valve in your Frigidaire laundry center washing machine…
Step 1. Unplug your washing machine from its power supply and turn the water valve off before attempting any repairs in order to avoid electrical damage or water leaks.
Step 2. Disconnect the water inlet hoses from the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (ensure that you keep a rag nearby in case water spills out of the hoses). Use a Philips screwdriver to take out the screw holding the water inlet valve to the back panel of your machine.
Step 3. Detach the water inlet valve from the rear panel by pushing it in. Go to the front of your washing machine. Insert a putty knife under the main top panel of your washer to release the retaining clips. Lift the panel up and disconnect the electrical connector of the lid lock.
Step 4. Remove the main top panel and set it aside. Reach inside the washer cabinet and pull the water inlet valve out. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to the valve assembly.
Step 5. Using a pair of pliers, press the clamp on the hose attached to the valve assembly and slide it out of place. Disconnect the hose from the water valve and set the valve aside.
Step 6. Take your new water inlet valve assembly out of its packaging. Connect the hose to the new valve and slide the retaining clamp in place to secure it. Attach the electrical connectors to their appropriate terminals on the new valve.
Step 7. Reach inside the cabinet and insert the new valve assembly through the slot at the back panel. Reconnect the lid switch electrical connector to the main top and snap the main top panel back in place.
Step 8. Apply the screw at the back of your washing machine to secure the new valve assembly. Connect the water inlet hoses to the new water inlet valve (ensure that the connections are secure in order to prevent water leakage).
Step 9. Turn your washing machine’s water supply back on and plug it back to the power source. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.

How To Replace Water Inlet Valve In Frigidaire Front Loader Washing Machine
Replace the water inlet valve in your front loader Frigidaire washing machine by doing the following…
Step 1. Always make sure to unplug your washing machine from its power source and turn off the water supply before starting any repairs in order to prevent any chances of electrocution or water leakage.
Step 2. Unscrew the HOT and COLD water supply hoses from the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (you may need to keep a rag nearby in case of water leaks).
Step 3. Us a Philips screwdriver to remove the screws at the back of your washing machine securing the top panel. Slide the top panel backwards and lift it off your washing machine.
Step 4. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to the water inlet valve assembly (use a flat-blade screwdriver to do this if needed). Pry the inlet valve and vent tube retainer from the water inlet ports using a flat-blade screwdriver.
Step 5. Rotate the vent tube and pull it out of your washing machine. Use a Philips screwdriver to take out the screws securing the water inlet valve assembly to your washing machine.
Step 6. Pull the valve assembly off the dispenser and set it aside. Take your new water valve assembly out of its packaging. Install the new valve assembly in your washing machine and connect the ports to the dispenser. Apply the screws to secure the valve to the dispenser.
Step 7. Put the vent tube back in place and lock it by rotating it. Snap the inlet valve and vent tube retainer back on. Connect each electrical connector to its appropriate terminal on the new water inlet valve.
Step 8. Put your washing machine’s top panel back on and apply the screws with a Philips screwdriver to secure it. Attach the water inlet hoses to the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (make sure to secure the connections properly in order to avoid water leaks).
Step 9. Plug your washing machine back to its power outlet and turn on the water supply. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.

To replace the water inlet valve in your top loader Frigidaire washing machine, take the following steps…
Step 1. Unplug your washing machine from its power source and turn off the water supply before starting any repairs in order to avoid water leakage or electrical damage.
Step 2. Unscrew the two water inlet hoses from the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine (keep a rag nearby in case water leaks out of the hoses). Put some tape over the lid of your washing machine to secure it.
Step 3. Insert a putty knife underneath your washing machine’s main top panel to release the two retaining clips. Lift the main top panel and support it. The valve will be mounted at the side of the cabinet. Use a pair of pliers to press the clamp on the hose connected to the water valve and slide it out of place.
Step 4. Disconnect the hose from the water inlet valve. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to then water inlet valve assembly (make sure to take note of the positioning each connector).
Step 5. Using a Philips screwdriver, take out the screw at the back of your washing machine holding the water inlet valve. Pull the water inlet valve assembly out of your washing machine and set it aside.
Step 6. Take your new washing machine water inlet valve out of its packaging. Install the new water valve in your washing machine’s cabinet. Apply the Philips screw at the back to secure it.
Step 7. Connect the hose to the new water inlet valve assembly and slide the retaining clamp in place to secure it. Attach each electrical connector to its appropriate terminal on the new water inlet valve assembly.
Step 8. Lower your washing machine’s main top panel and snap it in place. Peel the tape off the lid of your washing machine. Connect the water inlet hoses to their corresponding ports at the back of your washing machine. Turn on your washing machine’s water supply and plug the power cord back in. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.
