Step 7. Use your 1/4 inch nut driver to take out the screw holding the timer assembly to the control panel.

Step 8. Lift the timer assembly slightly, turn it clockwise and then pull it off the control panel.

Step 10. Put the new timer in place on the control panel and turn it counter-clockwise until you hear it snap into position.

Step 3. Slide the top panel backwards a bit and pull off the trim at the front of the top panel.

Step 4. Lift the panel up and set it aside.

Step 5. Pull out the soap dispenser of your washer and press the little lever inside the dispenser drawer to free it from the washing machine. Set the soap drawer aside.

Step 6. Use your Philips screwdriver to take out the screw next to the dispenser drawer housing on the control panel.

Step 7. Take out the four screws across the back of the console with a Philips screwdriver.

Step 8. Gently release the locking tabs at the top of the control panel.

Step 9. Reach behind the panel and release the tabs at the bottom of the panel.

Step 10. Disconnect each of the electrical connectors attached to the control board (make sure to take note of where each electrical connector goes).

Step 11. Pull the control panel assembly off the washing machine.

Step 12. Set the control panel assembly on the ground and use a Philips screwdriver to take out the screws holding the control board.

Step 13. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to release the three locking tabs securing the control board.

Step 14. Pull the control board off the control panel assembly and set it aside.

Step 15. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to release the buttons from the control board.

Step 16. Take your new control board assembly out of its packaging.

Step 17. Snap all the buttons in place on the new control board.

Step 18. Put the new control board in place on the control panel assembly and secure it by applying the screws with your Philips screwdriver.

Step 19. Plug each electrical connector to its appropriate terminal on the new control board.

Step 20. Snap the control panel back in place and apply the screw beside the detergent drawer housing to secure it.

Step 21. Push the detergent drawer back in place.

Step 22. Use your screwdriver to apply the screws at the back of the control panel.

Step 23. Put the top panel on top of your washing machine and snap the trim piece back in place.

Step 24. Push the top panel forward in place and apply the screws on the panel to secure it.
