Step 9. Pry the plate off the back of your washing machine using a flat-blade screwdriver. Pull the control board assembly out of place. Disconnect the electrical connectors for the tub components on the control board. Cut the zip-tie holding the tub component wires to the board.
Step 10. Pass the tub component electrical connectors through the opening in the panel. Put the control board and mounting plate back in place.
Step 11. Go to the front of the machine. Use a 5/16 inch wrench to take out the bolt holding the grounding wire to the cabinet.
Step 12. With the assistance of another person, carefully tilt the washing machine backwards and lat it on the floor.
Step 13. Place a block of wood under the drum. Pull the tub towards the top of the cabinet to get more slack on the suspension rods. Detach each of the four suspension rods from the tub.
Step 14. Using a pair of pliers, press the clamp on the hose attache to the drain pump and slide it out of place. Disconnect the outlet hose from the drain pump (some water will leak out of the hose).
Step 15. Pull the air pressure hose off the tube at the side of the drum. Carefully pull the drum assembly through the opening at the bottom of the cabinet.
Step 16. Set the tub assembly upright. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to pry the tub cover off the tub assembly. Remove the agitator cap from the agitator assembly. Using a 10mm socket with an extension, remove the agitator bolt. Pull the agitator out of your washing machine and set it aside.
Step 17. Using a 6mm Allen key, remove the two bolts holding the tub mounting hub to the transmission shaft. Carefully lift out the inner tub assembly and set it aside.
Step 18. Turn the outer tub assembly upside down and lay it on the floor. Using your 10mm socket wrench, remove the bolts holding the belt cover to the tub. Pull the cover off and set it aside.
Step 19. Slowly rotate the drive belt and detach it from the two pulleys. Disconnect the electrical connector of the clutch actuator. Use your socket wrench to remove the two bolts holding the actuator to the tub. Pull the actuator off the washing machine and set it aside.
Step 20. Using a pair of needle-nosed pliers, release the wire retainers from the transmission plate. Use a 3/8 inch socket wrench to take out the eight screws holding the transmission assembly to the outer tub. Pull the transmission assembly out of the tub and set it aside.
Step 21. Take your new washing machine transmission assembly out of its packaging. Use a 17mm socket wrench to take out the bolt holding the pulley wheel to the old transmission assembly. Transfer the pulley wheel to the new transmission assembly and apply the bolt to secure it.
Step 22. Insert the new transmission assembly inside your washing machine. Apply the mounting bolts with your socket wrench to secure it. Snap the wire retainers into the holes on the new transmission plate.
Step 23. Put the clutch actuator back in place and apply the mounting bolts to secure. Connect the electrical connector to the clutch actuator.
Step 24. Fit the drive belt around the motor pulley and the transmission pulley. Put the belt cover back on and apply the screws with your 10mm socket wrench to secure it.
Step 25. Turn the outer tub assembly over. Carefully lower the inner tub into the outer tub. Secure the mounting hub to the shaft using your 6mn Allen key.
Step 26. Put the agitator bolt into your socket wrench with an extension. Insert the bolt into the hole in the agitator. Carefully place the agitator back inside your washing machine and tighten the bolt to secure it. Put the agitator cap back on.
Step 27. Snap the tub cover back into place. Lift the tub assembly back inside your washing machine’s cabinet. Connect the air pressure hose back to the port at the side of the drum.
Step 28. Connect the drain outlet hose to the drain pump assembly and slide the retaining clamp back in place to secure it.
Step 29. Insert the four suspension rods into the openings at the side of the tub and snap them into place. Remove the block of wood from your washing machine’s cabinet.
Step 30. With the help of another person, lift your washing machine upright. Go to the back of your washing machine.
Step 31. Use your flat-blade screwdriver to pry the control board plate off the back of your washing machine. Pass the tub component wire connectors through the opening and connect them to the control board. Secure the wires in the retainers.
Step 32. Snap the control board housing into place and apply the screws with your nut driver to secure it.
Step 33. Connect the four suspension rod support springs back to the tub. Put the main front panel of your washing machine back on and use your Philips screwdriver to apply the screws.

Step 17. Snap the tub cover back onto the tub. Secure the air pressure tube in the retainer on the tub cover. Put the agitator back inside the washing machine and apply the bolt to secure it.
Step 18. Put the dispenser cover and cup back onto the agitator. Fit the drive belt around the two pulleys under the machine.
