Step 1. Order your new tub bearings online (the bearings set has three parts; Depending on your washer’s model, you may have to purchase each part separately).

Step 2. Turn off your washing machine’s water and power supply to avoid water leakage or electrocution.

Step 3. Go to the back of your washing machine.

Step 4. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the screws at the back of the washing machine holding the top panel.

Step 5. With the screws removed, slide the panel back a few inches and lift it off the washing machine.

Step 6. Pull out the soap dispenser and press the blue tab at the center to take it out of the washing machine completely.

Step 7. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the two screws beside the detergent drawer housing.

Step 26. Take a picture of the wire connectors attached to the lower front of the washing machine’s tub (this is the heater element).

Step 27. Disconnect each wire from the heater element.

Step 28. Undo the nut at the center of the heater element and pull the heater element out of the washing machine.

Step 29. Go to the bottom of the washing machine’s tub and remove the screw holding the main drain hose to the tub.

Step 30. Disconnect the drain hose from the washing machine.

Step 31. Using your Philips screwdriver, release the cables that are still connected to your washing machine’s tub.

Step 32. Go to the back of your washing machine.

Step 33. Using your Philips screwdriver, remove the screws securing the rear panel of your washing machine.

Step 40. Disconnect any other wires connected to the back of the washing machine’s tub.

Step 41. Disconnect the dampers at the base of your washer securing the tub.

Step 42. Remove the springs at the top of the drum connected to the cabinet.

Step 43. Pull the drum out of the washing machine through the front or top of the cabinet frame

Step 44. Using a socket wrench, take out all the bolts holding both halves of the drum together.

Step 45. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to detach the two halves of the drum.

Step 46. Using a mallet, tap the end of the drum shaft to free it from the bearings (use a socket extension as a drift to help push it out).

Step 47. Lay the tub down flat on the ground.

Step 48. Using a screwdriver, pry out the rubber seal from inside the tub.

Step 49. Clean the face of the inner bearing.

Step 50. Apply some penetrating fluid to the inner bearing to make it easier to remove.

Step 51. Turn the tub the other way around.

Step 52. Using the socket extension and mallet, knock the inner bearing out of the washing machine’s tub.

Step 53. Turn the tub over again.

Step 54. Remove the inner bearing from the washer’s tub.

Step 55. Apply some penetrating fluid to lubricate the outer bearing.

Step 56. Using a chisel or flat-blade screwdriver, work the rim of the outer bearing free.

Step 57. Once the outer bearing has been removed, clean the bearing housing.

Step 58. Get your new bearings out of their pack.

Step 59. Knock the new bearings into the housing using your mallet and socket extension. Ensure that pressure is applied evenly on all sides of the bearings.

Step 60. Push the new seal into the bearing housing.

Step 61. Lower the drum into the tub (ensure that the shaft of the drum sits in the bearings).

Step 62. Put the other half of the tub back on and secure the two halves to each other by applying the screws around.

Step 63. Put the tub back in the washing machine’s cabinet frame.

Step 64. Attach the springs to the top of the washer’s tub and hook them to the sides of the cabinet frame.

Step 65. Secure the dampers to the base of the washer’s tub.

Step 66. Reconnect the drain hose and pressure chamber to the base of the washing machine’s tub.

Step 67. Place the weight back on the front of the washing machine and secure it by applying any screws or bolts.

Step 68. Put the weight back at the top of the washing machine’s tub.

Step 69. Put the detergent drawer housing back in place and connect the hose to the washing machine’s tub using the clamp.

Step 70. Put the heater element back in the washing machine and apply the nut at the center.

Step 71. Using the images you took as reference, connect all electrical connectors at the front of your washing machine to their appropriate terminals.

Step 72. Go to the back of your washing machine.

Step 73. Reconnect the motor stator wire connectors as well as any other wires at the back of the washing machine’s tub.

Step 74. Put the drive motor stator back on the tub’s rear and secure it by applying the six 10mm bolts.

Step 75. Put the motor assembly back on top of the motor stator and secure it by applying the screw at the center.

Step 76. Put the rear panel of the washing machine back on and secure it by applying the screws.

Step 77. Go back to the front of your washing machine.

Step 78. Put the main front of your washing machine back on and secure it by applying the five screws (two at the top and three at the bottom).

Step 79. Open the door of your washing machine.

Step 80. Reach in and reconnect the door lock’s electrical connector.

Step 81. Fit the door seal back around the door opening.

Step 82. Fit the retaining band around the door seal (you’ll need a flat-blade screwdriver to do this.

Step 1. Turn off your washing machine’s water and power supply in order to avoid water leakage and electrocution.

Step 2. Using a Philips screwdriver, take out the screws at the back of your washing machine holding the top panel.

Step 3. Slide the panel back about a few inches and lift it off the washing machine.

Step 4. Pull the soap dispenser out press the blue tab in the middle to take it out of the washing machine completely.

Step 5. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the screws on each side of the detergent drawer housing.

Step 6. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, release the tabs at the back of the washing machine’s user control panel.
