Step 9. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, release the upper shock absorber mount tabs. Rotate the shock absorber with a pair of pliers to release it from the upper mount. Repeat this process for the lower shock mount.

Step 10. Set the old shock asborber aside and take the new one out of its packaging. Snap the upper and lower pins of the new shock into the mounts on the tub and cabinet.

Step 11. Lift the front panel and snap it back onto the cabinet. Apply the screws at the top and bottom to secure it.

Step 12. Open your machine’s door. Put the door lock back in place and secure it to the cabinet with the screws.

Step 13. Fit the door seal back around the door. Secure the seal using the retaining wire (ensure that you do not damage the seal).

Step 14. Lift the control panel and snap it back onto the cabinet. Apply all the screws to secure it.

Step 15. Slide the detergent drawer into the housing. Put the top panel back on the cabinet and secure it by applying the nuts at the back.

Step 2. Release the clamp on the drain hose at the back of the washer. Pull the hose off the machine.

Step 3. Spread a rag on the floor underneath the inlet hoses to catch any water leakage. Use a pair of pliers to unscrew the two water supply lines.

Step 4. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws holding the rear access panel of your machine. Lift the panel off the cabinet and set it aside.

Step 5. Loosen the bolts at the back of the machine securing the top panel. Slide the panel backwards a few inches then lift it off the cabinet.

Step 6. Pull the detergent drawer out and press the tab inside to completely release it from the housing.

Step 7. Loosen the screws beside the detergent drawer housing. Remove three bolts at the top of the control panel. Carefully pry the control panel off the machine and set it on top of the cabinet.

Step 10. Use your screwdriver to take out the screws at the top of the front panel. Pull the panel off the cabinet carefully and set it aside.

Step 11. To give you more working space, unplug each wire connector from the control board (make sure to take note of where each plug goes). Set the control panel aside.

Step 12. Use a screwdriver to take out the nuts holding the temperature sensor harness and air dome tube harness to the front of the tub.

Step 13. Unplug the wire connector from the temperature sensor. Use a pair of pliers to release the clamp holding the air dome tube to the tub and slide it out of place. Pull the tube off the tub.

Step 14. With a 13mm socket wrench, loosen the bolts holding the two counter-weights to the front of the tub. Pull each counter-weight off the machine and set them aside.

Step 15. Use your socket wrench to take out the upper bolts holding the two shock absorbers to the tub. Cut any zip-ties attached to the tub assembly.

Step 16. Release the spring clamp holding the detergent dispenser hose to the front of the tub. Pull the hose off the tub.

Step 17. Using a 10mm socket, remove all the bolts holding the two halves of the outer tub together.

Step 18. Lift one of the suspension springs and carefully unhook it from the tub mount. Pry the two halves of the drum apart slightly using a flat-blade screwdriver. Hook the suspension spring onto the rear half of the outer tub. Repeat this process with the second suspension spring.

Step 19. Carefully pull the front half of the outer tub through the opening on the cabinet and set it aside.

Step 20. Go to the back of the machine and take the drive belt off the motor pulley and drive pulley.

Step 21. Remove the bolt holding the drive pulley to the back of the machine using a 3/4 inch socket wrench. Take the pulley off the machine.

Step 22. Use a hammer to strike the shaft through the bearing opening. Go to the front of the machine and pull the inner tub out of the cabinet.

Step 23. Set the inner tub on the floor face-down. Using a 10mm socket wrench, remove the six bolts holding the spider arm assembly to the bottom of the machine (this may require a bit of effort).

Step 24. Take the spider assembly off the tub and set it aside. Remove your new washing machine spider arm assembly from its packaging.

Step 25. Mount the new spider arm at the bottom of the tub and secure it by applying the six new bolt.

Step 26. Carefully guide the spider arm shaft through the opening at the back of the outer tub.

Step 27. Go to the back of the machine and put the drive pulley onto the shaft. Apply the nut with your socket wrench to secure it.

Step 28. With the grooved side facing inwards, carefully fit the drive belt back around the motor pulley and drive pulley.

Step 29. Put the rear access cover back onto the cabinet and secure it with the screws.

Step 30. Support the tub with one hand and unhook one of the suspension springs. Put the two halves of the outer tub together and hook the suspension spring through the them. Repeat this process with the other spring.

Step 31. Secure the two halves of the outer tub by applying the screws using your socket wrench.

Step 32. Put the two shock absorbers back into the mounts on the outer tub and secure them by applying the bolts.

Step 33. Connect the air dome tube back to the port at the bottom of the tub. Slide the spring clamp in place to secure it. Apply the screw on the air dome tube retainer.

Step 34. Plug the temperature sensor back in and apply the screw on the retainer. Reattach the detergent dispenser tube to the port at the top of the outer tub and secure it using the spring clamp.

Step 35. Put the two counter-weights onto the tub and apply the bolts with your 13mm socket wrench.

Step 36. Snap the front panel back onto the cabinet and apply the screws with your nut-driver to secure it.

Step 37. Open the door of your machine and push the door lock back in place. Use your Philips screwdriver to apply the screws.

Step 38. Fit the boot seal around the door opening carefully. Using your needle-nosed pliers, fit the retaining wire around the door seal.

Step 39. Plug each wire harness into its appropriate terminal on the control panel. Secure the wires in the retainers.

Step 40. Snap the control panel back onto the front of the cabinet and apply all the screws to secure it. Slide the detergent drawer back into the housing.

Step 41. Snap the top panel back onto the cabinet. Secure the top panel by applying the screws at the back.

Step 42. Reattach the drain hose to the back of the machine and secure it using the spring clamp. Reconnect the two water inlet hoses to the ports at the back of the machine (secure the hoses properly so water can’t leak out).

Step 43. Plug your machine back into the power outlet and turn the water valve back on. Ensure the issue has been fixed by running a spin cycle.
