How To Do A Hard Reset On An LG Washing Machine
To hard reset your LG washing machine, do the following…
Step 1. Press the power button on your washing machine to turn it off.
Step 2. Unplug your washing machine from it’s power outlet (you can also turn it off from the circuit breaker).
Step 3. With the power turned off, press the Start/Pause button and hold for 5 seconds.
Step 4. Plug the washing machine back in and turn on the power supply.
How To Reset An LG Washing Machine’s OE Error
Do the following to clear the OE error code from your LG washing machine…
Step 1. Turn off your washing machine’s water and power supply to avoid water leakage and electrocution.
Step 2. Place some old towels or rags on the ground in front of your washing machine.
Step 3. Press and open the little panel in front of your washer at the bottom.
Step 4. Under the panel, you will find a black capped hose; carefully pull the hose out a few inches.
Step 5. Place a container under the hose.
Step 6. Pull the hose’s cap off and let any water in the washer’s drum drain out.
Step 7. Put the hose’s cap back on and push the hose back in place.
Step 8. Turn the knob beside the hose counterclockwise and pull it out (this is known as the drain pump filter).
Step 9. Take the drain pump filter to a sink and clear out any debris and lint that may have clogged it.
Step 10. Inspect the drain pump filter housing in the washer and clear it of any debris.
Step 11. Once the drain filter is clean, put it back in place and turn it clockwise to lock it.
Step 12. Put the cover panel back in place.
Step 13. Go to the back of the washing machine.
Step 14. Inspect the drain hose at the back of the washer for a any kinks or bends and straighten as needed (a kinked hose can prevent water from draining out of the washer).
Step 15. Ensure that the drain hose isn’t inserted more than 8 inches into your home drain. It also shouldn’t be inserted less than 6 inches (this will help ensure that water flows out of the washing machine freely).

To reset your LG top loader washing machine, do the following…
Step 1. Turn off your washer’s power outlet (you can also turn off the circuit breaker).
Step 2. Press and hold the Start button for about 5 seconds.

How To Reset An LG Washing Machine’s PE Error Code
If your LG washing machine is showing a PE error code on the display, it means that there is an issue with the water level sensor. Most times this can be fixed by resetting your washing machine.
To reset your LG washer, all you need to do is unplug it from your power supply and plug it back after 10 minutes. This will clear out any temporary system glitches.
If this doesn’t fix the issue, you will need to replace your washing machine’s water pressure switch. Here’s how to do it…
Step 1. Turn off your washing machine’s water and power supply to avoid electrocution and water leakage.
Step 2. Using a Philips screwdriver, remove the two screws at the back of the washer holding the top panel.
Step 3. Pull the panel back a few inches and lift it off the washing machine.
Step 4. The water level sensor will be found inside the washer close to the water inlet valve; detach the electrical connector from the sensor.
Step 5. Using a screwdriver, remove the screw holding the water level sensor to the washer’s cabinet.
Step 6. Pull the water level sensor up and out of the washer’s cabinet.
Step 7. Disconnect the small rubber hose connected to the water level sensor.
Step 8. Discard the old water level sensor.
Step 9. Take your new water level sensor out of its pack.
Step 10. Connect the rubber hose to the new water level sensor.
Step 11. Mount the new water level sensor on the washer’s cabinet frame and apply the screw to secure it.
Step 12. Connect the wire harness to the new water level sensor.
Step 13. Put the washer’s top panel back in place and secure it by reapplying the two screws at the back.
Step 14. Turn on your washing machine’s water and power supply.
Step 15. Run a wash cycle to see if the issue has been resolved.
