Step 17. Take out the three Philips screws at the bottom of the washer’s main front.
Step 18. Lift the main front up and out of the washing machine.
Step 19. Take out the three Philips screws around the drain pump filter.
Step 20. Take a photo of orientation of drain pump before disconnecting anything.
Step 21. Using a pair of pliers, press the clamps on the hoses connected to the drain pump and slide them out of place.
Step 22. Detach the hoses from the drain pump.
Step 23. Detach the electrical connector attached to the drain pump.
Step 24. Pull the drain pump assembly out of the washing machine.
Step 25. Get your new drain pump out of its pack.
Step 26. Pop the new drain pump in the same position as the one you removed.
Step 27. Pass the emergency drain hose on the new drain pump through the hole on the washer frame.
Step 28. Secure the new drain pump by applying the three screws around the drain pump filter.
Step 29. Using the photo on your phone as a reference, connect each hose to its appropriate port on the new drain pump.
Step 30. Secure the hoses to the drain pump by sliding the clamp on each hose in place.
Step 31. Attach the electrical connector to the new drain pump.
Step 32. Put the main front of the washer back on (two at the top and three at the bottom).
Step 33. Open the door of the washing machine.
Step 34. Reach in behind the door seal and reconnect the door lock’s electrical connector.
Step 35. Put the door seal back in place around the door opening.
Step 36. Fit the retaining band around the door seal (you may need a flat-blade screwdriver to do this).

Step 38. Put the lower front of your washer back on and secure it with the Philips screw.

Step 5. Fill a bucket with boiling water and about one cup of baking soda.

Step 4. Pull out the detergent drawer and press the blue tab in the middle to take it out completely.
Step 5. Using a Philips screwdriver, take out the screws on either side of the detergent drawer housing.
Step 6. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, release the tabs holding the user control panel in place.
Step 7. Detach the panel from the washing machine and lay it on top of the cabinet frame.
Step 8. Flip open the panel at the lower front of your washing machine.
Step 9. Pull out the capped hose under the panel.
Step 10. Using a Philips screwdriver, take out the screw behind the emergency drain hose.
Step 11. Pull lower front panel off the washing machine.
Step 12. Open the door of your washing machine.
Step 13. Wedge a flat-blade screwdriver under the retaining wire around the door seal.
Step 14. Work your way around the wire with the screwdriver until you can take the whole wire out.
Step 15. Peel the door seal back from the door opening and push it into the washing machine’s tub.
Step 16. Reach in behind the door seal and detach the electrical connector attached to the door lock assembly.
Step 17. Using your Philips screwdriver, take out the screws holding the main front of the washing machine (two at the top and three at the bottom).
Step 18. Pull the main front up and out of the washing machine.
Step 16. Take out the three Philips screws around the drain pump filter
Step 17. Using your phone, take a picture of the orientation of the drain pump before detaching anything.
Step 18. Using a pair of pliers, press the clips holding the hoses to the drain pump and slide them out of place.
Step 19. Detach the hoses from the drain pump.
Step 20. Detach the electrical connector attached to the drain pump.
Step 21. Pull the drain pump assembly out of the washing machine and set it aside.
Step 22. Get your new drain pump out of its pack.
Step 23. Install the new drain pump in the same position as the one you removed.
Step 24. Pass the new emergency drain tube through the appropriate opening on the washing machine.
Step 25. Attach each hose to its appropriate port on the new drain pump (use the images on your phone for reference if needed).
Step 26. Secure the new hoses to the new drain pump by sliding the clam on each hose in place.
Step 27. Reapply the three screws around the drain pump filter cap.
Step 28. Put the main front of the machine back on and secure it by applying the five screws (two at the top and three at the bottom).
Step 29. Put the lower front of the washing machine back in place and pass the new emergency drain tube through the provided opening.
Step 30. Secure the lower front of the washing machine by applying the screw beside the emergency drain tube.
Step 31. Open the door of the washing machine.
Step 32. Reach in behind the door lock assembly and reattach the electrical connector.
Step 33. Fit the door seal back around the door opening.
Step 34. Fit the retaining band around the door seal (you may need a flat-blade screwdriver to do this).
Step 35. Close the door of your washing machine.
Step 36. Snap your washing machine’s user control panel back in place and secure it by applying the screws on each side of the detergent drawer housing.
Step 37. Put the detergent drawer back in the washing machine.
Step 38. Put the main top of the washing machine back on.
Step 39. Secure the main top of the washing machine by applying the screws at the back.
Step 40. Turn on your washing machine’s water and power supply.

Step 16. Using the retaining wire, secure the bundle of connectors to the washer’s frame.
Step 17. Use the tabs on the washer’s base to secure the wire sleeve.
Step 18. Attach the drain pump’s main wire connector.
Step 19. Connect the two hoses to the drain pump and secure them by sliding the retaining clamp on each on in place.
Step 20. Put the rear panel of the washing machine back on and secure it by applying the screws.
Step 21. Turn on your washing machine’s water and power supply.
Step 22. Run a wash cycle to see if the issue has been resolved.
