Washing Machine Doesn’t Fill With Water — Solved
If your washing machine doesn’t fill with water during rinse cycles, check for the following issues…
1. Water Supply Turned Off
If your washing machine doesn’t fill with water, the first thing you should check is the water supply. If the supply valve isn’t fully opened, the washing machine will not fill with water.
2. Water Inlet Filters Are Clogged
Here’s what you’ll need to do to clean clogged water inlet filters in your washing machine…
Step 1. It is recommended that you unplug your washing machine from its power supply and turn off the water valve before attempting any repairs in order to prevent any chances of electrocution and water leaks.
Step 2. Unscrew the water inlet hoses from the inlet ports at the rear of your washing machine with a pair of pliers (we advise keeping a rag nearby in case water spills out of the hoses).
Step 3. Use a pair of needle-nosed pliers to pull out the little mesh filters inside the inlet ports at the back of your washing machine. Rinse the filters of any dirt and debris that may be clogging them in a sink.
Step 4. Once you’ve cleaned the inlet filters properly, push them back into the inlet ports. Reconnect the water supply lines to the back of your washing machine (make sure to secure the connections properly in order to prevent water leakage).
Plug your washing machine back to its power supply and turn the water valve back on. Run a cycle to see if the issue has been fixed.
3. Damaged Water Pressure Sensor
Your washing machine may not fill at all if the water pressure sensor is defective. Here’s what you’ll need to do to replace this part…
