2.Washing Machine Hasn’t Filled With Water
Check your washing machine’s water supply to ensure it is fully opened. If your washer still doesn’t get water, you should clean the water inlet filter. Here’s how to do this…
Step 1. Turn off your washing machine’s water and power supply to avoid water leakage and electrocution.
Step 2. Go to the back of your washing machine.
Step 3. Disconnect the water inlet hose from the back of your washing machine.
Step 4. You’ll find a little mesh filter inside the water inlet port at the back of your washer. Pull the filter out with a pair of pliers.
Step 5. Take the filter to a sink and thoroughly clean out any lint or debris that may be clogging it.
Step 6. Once the filter is clean, put it back inside the washing machine.
Step 7. Connect the water inlet hose back to your washing machine (ensure that the connection is secure in order to avoid water leakage).
Step 8. Turn on your washing machine’s water and power supply.
Step 9. Try running a wash cycle to see if the issue has been resolved.

How To Replace An LG Washing Machine Water Inlet Valve — Top Loaders
Do the following to replace the water inlet valve on your LG top loader washing machine…
Step 1. Before starting any repairs, remember to turn off your washing machine’s water and power supply in order to avoid water leakage or electrocution.
Step 2. Go to the back of your washing machine.
Step 3.Use a Philips screwdriver to take out the five screws holding the rear panel of the user control board (two at the bottom and three at the top).
Step 4. Lift the panel off the washing machine.
Step 5. Detach the control housing from the washing machine and lay it on the washer’s lid.
Step 6. Disconnect the water supply hose/hoses from the water inlet valve (get ready for some water to spill out).
Step 7. Disconnect the solenoid wire connectors attached to the water inlet valve (take note of the positioning of each wire).
Step 8. Use a pair of pliers to press and release the retaining clamps on the hoses connected to the water inlet valve.
Step 9. Detach each hose from the water inlet valve.
Step 10. Take out the three screws holding the water inlet valve to the washing machine using a Philips screwdriver.
Step 11. Pull the old water inlet valve assembly out of the washing machine.
Step 12. Get your new water inlet valve assembly out of its pack.
Step 13. Install the new water inlet valve in the washing machine and secure it by applying the three screws with your Philips screwdriver.
Step 14. Connect each hose to its appropriate port on the new water inlet valve and secure the hoses by sliding the metal clamps in place.
Step 15. Connect each solenoid wire to its appropriate terminal on your new water inlet valve.
Step 16. Connect the water inlet hose/hoses to the new water inlet valve (ensure that the connection is secure).
Step 17. Reposition the control housing on top of your washing machine.
Step 18. Put the back panel of the washing machine control housing in place and secure it by applying the five screws (three at the top and two at the bottom).
Step 19. Turn on your washing machine’s water and power supply.
Step 20. Run a wash cycle to see if the issue has been resolved.

How To Replace An LG Washing Machine Water Inlet Valve — Front Loaders
To replace the water inlet valve on your LG front loader washing machine, do the following…
Step 1. Before attempting any repairs, turn off your washing machine’s water and power supply in order to avoid water leakage or electrocution.
Step 2. Disconnect the water inlet hose from the back of your washing machine (depending on the type of washing machine you have, there will be two water inlet hoses).
Step 3. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the screws at the back of our washing machine holding the top panel.
Step 4. Slide the panel back about an inch or so, and lift it off the washing machine.
Step 5. The water inlet valve will be mounted inside the washer on the other side of the water inlet port. Detach the solenoid wires connected to the water inlet valve (make sure to take note of the positioning of each electrical connector).
Step 6. Press the clamps on the hoses connected to the water inlet valve with a pair of pliers and slide each hose out of place.
Step 7. Detach each hose from the water inlet valve (make sure to remember the positioning of each hose).
Step 8. Using a Philips screwdriver, take out the screws beside the water inlet port holding the water inlet valve.
Step 9. Pull the water inlet valve out of the washing machine.
Step 10. Get your new water inlet valve out of its pack.
Step 11. Install the new water inlet valve in your washing machine and secure it by applying the screws at the back of the washing machine beside the water inlet port (or ports).
Step 12. Connect each hose to its appropriate port on your new water inlet valve and secure the hoses to the valve by sliding the metal clamps in place.
Step 13. Connect each solenoid wire to its appropriate terminal on the new water inlet valve.
Step 14. Put the top panel of the washing machine back in place and apply the screws at the back of the machine to secure it.
Step 15. Connect the water inlet hose/hoses to the back of your washing machine.
Step 16. Turn on your washing machine’s water and power supply.
Step 17. Run a wash cycle to ensure that everything is working properly.
