If your washing machine drain is overflowing, it is most likely a result of improper drain hose installation. To ensure that water flows out freely into your home drain, ensure that the drain hose is inserted at least 6 inches into the drain.

The hose should also not be inserted more than 8 inches. This will help ensure that water flows freely. You should also ensure that the drain hose is suspended at a minimum height of 18 inches and a maximum height of 96 inches.

Another thing that can cause your drain to overflow is a clogged drain pipe. Remove the drain hose from your home drain. Afterwards, inspect the home drain for any blockages.
