How To Install Electrolux Pedestal And Washer — Solved

Follow the steps below to install your Electrolux pedestal and washing machine…

Step 1. Cut the straps on the carton of the pedestal. Open the packaging, then carefully lift the pedestal out of the box.

Step 2. Slide open the pedestal drawer and take out the provided installation tools and manual.

Step 3. Lift the box off your new washing machine and discard it. Going front to back, use a spirit level tool to make sure the pedestal is perfectly balanced.

Step 4. Carefully tilt the pedestal assembly sideways, then screw or unscrew the uneven leg as needed. Use an adjustable wrench to tighten the bolt once you’ve set the leg.

Step 5. Set the pedestal assembly back onto its feet. In the tool bag, take out the two metal angled brackets.

Step 6. With the long slots facing forwards, set the two brackets on the pedestal assembly. Ensure that the brackets line up with the outermost holes at the upper front of the pedestal.

Step 7. Use a screwdriver to apply the two bolts on each of the two brackets. Place the two bigger brackets on the rear slots at the upper back side of the pedestal. Use your screwdriver to apply the screws on each bracket.

Step 8. With the help of another person, tip your washing machine backwards and set it on its side.

Step 9. Use an adjustable wrench to reduce the height of the washer’s legs as much as possible.

Step 10. Carefully lift the pedestal assembly and mount it at the bottom of the washing machine. Use your Philips screwdriver to secure the two assemblies by applying the screws on the front and rear brackets.

Step 11. With the screws tightened, have your assistant help you set your washing machine and pedestal onto its feet.

Step 12. Peel off any tape and packaging on your washing machine. Open the door of the washer and take out the manual and tool kit.

Step 13. Go to the back of your washing machine, then use a 3/8 inch socket wrench to loosen the transit bolts at the back of your machine.

Step 14. Take the bolts out of the cabinet, then push the provided plastic caps into the holes. Transfer the transit bolts to the tool kit bag.

Step 15. Connect the provided HOT and COLD water supply hoses to the appropriate taps. Attach the other ends of the hoses to the machine.

Step 16. Insert your washing machine’s drain hose into the standpipe. Turn your water faucets on and inspect the hoses for any leaks.

Step 17. Plug your washing machine and pedestal assembly into the electrical outlet, then try running a wash cycle. Ensure that you monitor the machine to make sure it drains properly.
