Step 2. Open your washing machine’s door. Using a flat-blade screwdriver, carefully pry off the retaining band around the door boot seal (take care not to damage the seal).
Step 3. Peel the door boot seal off the front panel. Reach behind the front panel and disconnect the door switch wire connector.
Step 4. Pry open the little access panel at the lower front of your machine. Pull the emergency drain hose out of its retainer.
Step 5. Place a container underneath the hose. Pull the hose’s cap off, then let any water stuck in the machine drain out. Once all the water has drained out, push the cap back onto the hose.

Step 1. Make sure to disconnect your washing machine from the power outlet and turn the water faucets off before starting this repair in order to prevent leakage and electrocution.
Step 2. With someone assisting you, move your washing machine forwards a bit to get more working space.
Step 3. Go to the back of the machine, then loosen the screws holding the top panel using a Philips screwdriver. Slide the panel backwards about an inch or so, then lift it off the cabinet.
Step 4. Slide the soap tray out of the dispenser, the press the little tab inside to release it from the housing.
Step 5. Use your Philips screwdriver to take out the bolts at the back of the control panel. Take out the screws next to the dispenser opening.
Step 6. Pry the control panel off the cabinet. Disconnect the wire harness attached to the control panel. Set the panel aside.
Step 7. Pry the pump filter access panel open. Pull the emergency drain hose out of the retainer.
Step 8. Using your Philips screwdriver, loosen the bolts holding the pump filter housing. Pull the housing out of the machine and set it aside.
Step 9. Loosen the screw at the bottom of the front panel using your Philips screwdriver.
