How To Replace Front Loader Washing Machine Water Inlet Valve
Here are the steps you’ll need to take to replace the water inlet valve in your front loader washing machine…
Step 1. It is advised that you unplug your washing machine from its power supply and turn the water valve off before starting any repairs in order to prevent electrocution.
Step 2. Disconnect the water inlet hoses from the ports at the back of your washing machine (it is advised that you keep a rag nearby in case water spills out of the hoses).
Step 3. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the screws at the back of your washing machine holding the top panel. Slide the top panel backwards a bit and lift it off the washing machine.
Step 4. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the water inlet valve assembly. Take out the screws holding the valve assembly at the back of your washing machine with a Philips screwdriver.
Step 5. Pull the valve assembly out of the port. Use a pair of pliers to press the clamp on the hose attached to the valve and slide it out of place. Disconnect the hose from the valve assembly (some water will spill out).
Step 6. Set the old water inlet valve aside. Take your new washing machine water inlet valve assembly out of its packaging. Connect the hose to the new water inlet valve and slide the retaining clamp in place to secure it.
Step 7. Mount the new valve assembly in your washing machine’s cabinet and apply the screws at the back with a Philips screwdriver to secure it. Connect each electrical connector to its appropriate terminal on the new water inlet valve assembly.
Step 8. Put the top panel of you washing machine back in place and apply the screws at the back to secure it. Connect the water inlet hoses back to the inlet ports (in order to prevent water leakage, make sure to properly secure the connections).
Step 9. Plug your washing machine back to its power supply and turn the water valve back on. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.
How To Replace Top Loader Washing Machine Water Inlet Valve
Do the following to replace the water inlet valve in your top loader washing machine…
Step 1. In order to prevent any chances of water leakage and electrocution, it is advised that you unplug your washing machine from its power source and turn off the water supply.
Step 2. Using a pair of pliers unscrew the COLD and HOT water inlet hoses from the back of your washing machine (you should keep a rag nearby to clean up any water leaks).
Step 3. Using a Philips screwdriver, take out the six screws holding the rear access of the control panel. Lift the panel of your washing machine and set it aside. Detach all the electrical connectors attached to the water inlet valve assembly (make sure to take note of where each connector goes).
Step 4. Take out the mounting screws holding the valve assembly to your washing machine using a Philips screwdriver. Pull the valve out of place. Use a pair of pliers to press the clamp on the hose attached to the valve and slide it out of place. Disconnect the hose attached to the valve assembly and set the valve aside.
Step 5. Take your new washing machine water inlet valve out of its packaging. Connect the hose to the new valve assembly and slide the retaining clamp in place to secure it.
Step 6. Install the new valve in your washing machine and apply the mounting screws to secure it. Connect each electrical connector to its corresponding terminal on the new valve assembly.
Step 7. Put the rear access panel back on and apply the mounting screws with your Philips screwdriver to secure it. Reconnect the water inlet hoses to the inlet ports (make sure you secure the connections properly so water doesn’t leak out).
Step 8. Plug your washing machine back to its power outlet and turn on the water supply. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.

Here’s what you’ll need to do in order to replace the water level sensor in your top loader washing machine…
Step 1. It is advised that you unplug your washing machine from its power supply and turn off the water valve before starting any repairs in order to prevent electrocution and water leakage.
Step 2. Unscrew the water inlet hoses from the ports at the back of your machine (some water may spill out, so make sure to keep a rag nearby).
Step 3. Take out the screws holding the rear access of the control panel using a Philips screwdriver. Detach the tabs and pull the panel off your washing machine. Remove all the screws holding the to main rear panels of your washer and pull the panels off.
Step 4. Locate the little pressure tube attached to the side of the drum. Slid the retaining clamp on the hose out of place. Disconnect the tube from the drum. Use a flat-blade screwdriver to release the tube from the retainer on the drum.
Step 5. Disconnect the electrical connector attached to the water level sensor. Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to pry the water level sensor out of the mount. Pull the water level sensor and hose out of your washing machine.
Step 6. Take your new water pressure switch assembly out of its packaging. Snap the new pressure switch in place on the control panel. Run the hose down the side of the tub and secure it in the retainer. Connect the tube to the hole in the drum and slide the retaining clamp in place to secure.
Step 7. Connect the electrical connector to the new water pressure switch. Snap the two rear panels of your washing back on and apply the screws with your Philips screwdriver to secure them.
Step 8. Put the rear cover of the control panel in place snap the retaining tabs. Use a Philips screwdriver to apply the six screws to secure it. Plug the water inlet hoses back to the inlet ports.
Step 9. Turn on your washing machine’s water supply and plug the power cord back in. Run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.

Step 5. Attach the little tube to the new level sensor and slide the retaining clamp in place to secure it. Snap the new level sensor in place on the cabinet. Connect the electrical connector to level sensor.
Step 6. Slide your washing machine’s top panel back on and use your Philips screwdriver to apply the screws. Plug your washing machine back to its power supply and turn on the water supply. Run a wash cycle to see if the issue has been fixed.

Do the following to replace the control board in your front loader washing machine…
Step 1. In order to prevent any chances of electrocution, it is advised that you unplug your washing machine from its power supply before starting the repair.
Step 2. Use a Philips screwdriver to remove the screws at the back of your washing machine holding the top panel. Slide the top panel backwards and lift it off your washing machine.
Step 3. Pull the soap drawer and press the tab inside to take it out of your washing machine completely. Use your Philips screwdriver to take out the two mounting screws holding the dispenser assembly. Slide the dispenser out of place.
Step 4. Release the tabs on the control panel and pull it off your washing machine. Disconnect the electrical connectors attached to the board. Pull the control knob off the panel (you can use some string to do this if needed).
Step 5. Use your Philips screwdriver to take out the screws holding the control board assembly to the control panel. Pull the board assembly off the panel and set it aside.
Step 6. Take your new control board assembly out of its packaging. Snap the new control board in place on the control panel and apply the screws with your Philips screwdriver to secure. Snap the control knob back into place.
Step 7. Connect the electrical connectors to their appropriate terminals on the new control board. Snap the control panel onto the cabinet. Push the dispenser housing back in place and apply the two screws with your Philips screwdriver to secure.
Step 8. Slide the dispenser drawer into the dispenser housing. Slide the top panel of your washing machine back on and apply the screws at the back of your washing machine with a Philips screwdriver to secure.
Step 9. Plug your washing machine back to its power outlet and run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working properly.

Step 4. Pull the electrical connectors out of the retainers on the control board. Use a Philips screwdriver to take out the four screws holding the control board.
