1. Machine Is Unbalanced
If your Asko washing machine is making noise, the first thing you should do is check to ensure that the appliance is balanced. Ensure that your washing machine sits on a firm, even surface.
Place a spirit level on the machine to ensure that the legs are even. If the legs are unbalanced you’ll need to adjust them. To adjust the feet, tip the machine backwards and place a block of wood underneath to support it. Using a wrench, loosen the nut on the leg you want to adjust.
Pull the leg out, or push it in as needed. Secure the leg by tightening the nut with your wrench. Plug your washer’s power cord into the outlet, then try running a cycle to ensure that the noise has stopped.
2. Worn Belt
If your Asko washing machine is making noise, the next thing to do is check to ensure that the belt is in good condition. If your washer’s drive belt is worn out, it could cause the appliance to make noise. Follow the steps below to inspect your washer’s belt…
Step 1. In order to prevent any chances of electrocution, it is advised that you disconnect your appliance from the power outlet before starting this repair.
Step 2. Using a Torx-20 screwdriver, take out the bolts securing the rear access panel to the cabinet. Lift the panel off the cabinet carefully and set it aside.
Step 3. If still intact, carefully unhook the drive belt from the motor pulley and drive pulley.
Step 4. Run your finger around the belt. If the grooved side of the belt is worn, or the belt is stretched out, you’ll need to replace it.
Step 5. Once you are sure that the belt is in good condition, loop the belt back around the two pulleys.
Step 6. Remount the rear panel onto the cabinet, then use your Torx screwdriver to apply the bolts.

Step 4. Loosen the bolts securing the drive motor to the bottom of the tub using a 13mm socket wrench. Carefully lift the drive motor off the tub and out of the cabinet.
Step 5. Try turning the motor pulley by hand. If you notice a lot of noise from the motor while turning the pulley, it indicates that the bearing is damaged. To fix this issue, you’ll need to buy a new motor.
Step 6. Once you’ve gotten your new drive motor, mount it at the bottom of the tub, then secure it by applying the 13mm bolts.
Step 7. Plug the wire harness into the new drive motor. With the grooved side turned inwards, loop the belt around the motor pulley and drive pulley.
Step 8. Lift the rear access panel onto the cabinet, then use your Torx-20 screwdriver to apply the bolts.
Step 9. Plug your washing machine into the power outlet, then find out if your Asko washing machine is making noise by running a wash cycle.

4. Damaged Shock Absorbers
The shock absorbers help support the tub and keep it from shaking too much. If your Asko washing machine is making noise, it is most likely that the shock absorbers are damaged. Follow the steps below to replace this part…
Step 1. Ensure that you disconnect your washing machine from the power outlet before starting this repair, in order to prevent electrocution.
Step 2. Go to the back of the machine, then release the drain hose and water inlet hose from the retaining brackets on the rear panel (if applicable).
Step 3. Using a Torx-20 screwdriver, take out the bolts securing the rear access panel to the cabinet. Lift the panel off the machine and set it aside.
Step 4. Loosen the bolts at the back of the machine securing the top panel. Pull the panel backwards a bit, then lift it off the cabinet.
Step 5. Lift the support rail off the top of the machine. Release the pressure switch from the support bracket by pressing the tabs. Pull the switch off and set it aside.
Step 6. Release the support bracket from the cabinet frame by loosening the screw at the back of the machine.
Step 7. Using a pair of pliers, unhook the two tub springs from the tub (ensure that you note where each spring goes).
Step 8. Turn the water supply tap off and disconnect the inlet hose from the port at the back of the machine.
Step 9. Pull your washer’s drain hose out of the standpipe. With someone assisting you, tip your washing machine onto its side.
Step 10. Release the outer shock absorber mounts and washers by loosening the 13mm bolts at the bottom of the machine (do this while holding the upper shocks).
Step 11. Carefully detach the shock absorber assemblies from the bottom of the tub. Prepare your new washing machine shock absorber assembly for installation by unpacking it.
Step 12. Slide the inner mounts onto the bottom of each new shock absorber. Push a washer onto each of the new rods, then slide an anchor mount onto the end.
Step 13. Push each of the anchor mounts into the openings at the bottom of the tub. Slide each shock absorber onto the rods.
Step 14. Insert the inner mounts of the new shock absorbers through the openings at the base of the cabinet.
Step 15. Slide the outer mounts and washers on, then secure them by tightening the 13mm bolts.
Step 16. If needed, tip your washing machine onto its other side to replace the remaining two shock absorbers.
Step 17. Get someone to help you lift your washing machine onto its feet. Using your pliers, stretch the two springs and hook them back onto the tub.
Step 18. Move the support bracket back into place, then apply the bolt at the back of the machine to secure it.
Step 19. Snap the water pressure switch onto the support bracket. Move the support rail back in place on top of the cabinet.
Step 20. Remount the top cover on the cabinet, then apply the screws at the back using your Torx screwdriver.
Step 21. Mount the rear access panel on the machine, then tighten the screws. Reinsert the drain hose into the standpipe.
Step 22. Reconnect the water supply hose to the port at the back of the machine (ensure that the hose is properly attached in order to prevent leakage).
Step 23. Turn the water supply faucet back on, then plug the power cord into the outlet. To see if your Asko washing machine is making noise, try running a wash cycle.
