Do the following to replace the agitator in your Frigidaire laundry centre washing machine…
Step 1. Unplug your washing machine from its power source before attempting any repairs in order to prevent electrocution.
Step 2. Insert a putty knife under your washing machine’s main top panel to release the two clips holding it. Lift the main top up a bit and disconnect the door lock electrical connector from underneath it.
Step 3. Pull the main top panel off your washing machine fully then set it aside. Pull the agitator cap off. Use a 10mm socket with a long extension to take out the agitator screw. Pull the agitator assembly out of your washing machine and set it aside.
Step 4. Take your new washing machine agitator out of its packaging. Insert the screw in the 10mm socket into the hole in the new agitator assembly. Put the new agitator inside the drum and tighten it with the socket to secure.
Step 5. Put the agitator cap on. Connect the door lock electrical connector back to top panel. Lower the main top panel and snap it back in place. Plug your washing machine back to its power source and run a wash cycle to make sure everything is working as it should.
